I only stayed one night, but I would've stayed a week if I could've. Callander is a wonderful wee town full of cool spots, and the Crown is smack in the middle of it. The room was a tight fit considering I had my golf clubs with me, but it wasn't a problem. The breakfast spread was simple but exactly what I needed to fuel up for a day of driving, and the steak pie and sticky toffee pudding in the restaurant were very, very good. Great place I would go back to again in a heartbeat.

We were looking for somewhere to have a drink on a wet winter night and popped into The Crown. What an amazing reception we had , so friendly. Plenty of room, although very quiet it was such a lovely atmosphere . We returned twice more to eat, the food was good and tasty and again service was friendly and prompt. Toilets were clean and warm! I can’t comment on the rooms as we didn’t stay.

First time in The Crown in all the times we've visited Callander . Had a great welcome with our dogs by the two girls working on the bar who were very pleasant and took the time to chat with us . A great place to whittle away a couple of hours and chat with locals.
I only ate in the restaurant, but it was delicious food, very fast, and they were very accommodating as I had limited time to stay.
I just had a 3 night stay here and it was great. The rooms are quite no frills, but spotlessly clean. A decent bar menu to choose from and the food was good and some nice beers to choose from too. Good location, easy to get to lots of places in the area. A special thanks to Becky for making me feel so welcome....and who absolutely works her socks off
We only found this place by chance. We had never been to Callander before but we arrived on Tuesday 6th August and decided to have some lunch while we were there. The Crown was on the main street with easy access. The inside of the building looked as if it had recently been renovated and was nice and clean and airy. There was plenty of seating and not at all cramped. The menu available at lunch time was quite comprehensive and the range of drinks impressive. The service was quick but the food certainly had not been sat waiting a long time it all appeared to have been cooked to order. Staff were smart and helpful. Also the toilets were very clean and modern. All in all a nice place to have a drink and a meal. We cannot comment on the rooms as we were only passing through. If the rest of the place was at such a good standard I imagine the rooms were also.
Visited the Crown Hotel last week to order Macaroni Cheese for lunch to see if it was as good as I had there three years ago. I was not disappointed. My husband had steak pie and the food was delicious. We also had minestrone soup which was also very good. Service excellent. Reasonably priced. Will definitely not wait another three years to return. Just check meal times before you go.
